GreyHawk comprises a team of professionals with numerous years of experience in the areas of handheld computers, pen-based computers, touch screen technology, and AVL systems.  Our strategic direction is to design, develop, and implement mobile applications to targeted markets in the transportation industry with specific focus on trucking, transit, and schools.  Our systems are listed below. 

GreyHawk was incorporated in 1995 but became active in transportation in 1997.  We have been providing MDC/AVL systems to the transit industry since 2000.  GreyHawk Technologies, Inc. has one location in Vancouver, WA.  This acts as headquarters and is the facility for hardware repairs.  GreyHawk has 1585 MDC systems in operation and of these 1254 units have been installed in paratransit organizations.  Most of these paratransit installations involved Trapeze and NaviTrans as the supplier of the scheduling and dispatching system, however, we have other working interfaces with other suppliers of paratransit scheduling and dispatching systems. 

GreyHawk has other applications in the transportation industry (described below) including a shuttle bus system at the DFW airport which is similar to a fixed route bus system with audio announcements, video displays, geofence detection, AVL tracking, and other bus functions.  We also have 126 AVL/MDC systems for school buses running in the St. Louis school district with additional units to follow after the 2005/2006 school year.  GreyHawk has the only installed “deviated route” MDT system where a fixed route bus is used to go off-route to pick up or drop off passengers who physically can not get to the fixed route stops.  With the help of our mapping tool, drivers can see on a map what streets to take to reach the off-route location.  The mapping tool also shows the drivers how to get back to their fixed route by highlighting the suggested streets to take.  We also have a propane and fuel oil delivery system where the driver downloads a delivery manifest, drives to an account, and delivers the product.  It’s very similar to paratransit since a driver downloads a manifest, drives to an account, and delivers people.

Each GreyHawk employee is dedicated to a “customer first” philosophy.   As for our customer service, every customer is a “reference” account and each one is extremely important to us.  In addition to the supplied references shown below we will be happy to supply you with additional contacts and you can hear the same comments from each one that GreyHawk takes care of its customers.  Our smallest customer with 12 units is treated with the same importance as our largest customer that has over 300 of our MDC systems.
